AS400 RPG Software Developer / Systems Analyst (SIBS Core Banking - Payments)
Responsibilities
- Manage and analyse business requirements in Core Banking systems focusing on payments (SWIFT, Paynow, Duitnow, promptpay, etc.) and translate business requirement documents into solution designs.
- Work closely with application leads and vendors to provide estimation of man‑days and functional specifications.
- Design and implement the Customer Demographics System using AS400 and SIBS applications, analysing customer data to inform business decisions.
- Develop and maintain a robust system that drives business growth through data‑driven insights, leveraging technical expertise in AS400 and SIBS.
- Conduct functional specification and traceability reviews with business and test teams.
- Review test strategy prepared by the testing team and automate Core Bank test application suites for regression testing.
- Collaborate with the architecture team to derive technical solutions.
- Prepare executive summaries for all release‑related work and projects for management reporting, detailing project risks, escalations, and design proposals.
- Work with the application lead on audit‑related items.
- Update the team on release management and project news such as escalations and design decisions.
- Build strong relationships with business partners to manage expectations and deliverables.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering or a similar domain.
- Background knowledge of banking technology (deposit, loans, payment, wealth) with a preference for core banking experience.
- Ability to cross‑learn new product domain knowledge.
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in deposit/loan software development, payments (e.g., local interbank – Duitnow, Paynow, G3, PromptPay) and Silverlake banking system knowledge is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical skills and agility in handling multiple streams of business demands.
- Experience working with diverse teams across different backgrounds and units.
- Knowledge of waterfall and agile development management models.
- Team player who can work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
