Job summary

LION & ELEPHANTS CONSULTANCY PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks an experienced AS400/RPG Developer for L3/L4 to handle development, production support, debugging, and performance optimization of IBM i systems, focusing on RPG, COBOL, CL, and SQL.

You will work with AS400 libraries and DB2 for i, manage security and backups, and collaborate with stakeholders to drive system improvements and batch/job management using Control-M.

Qualifications

• 6–12 years of AS400/RPG development and production support.
• Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and batch/job management experience.
• Experience with IBM DB2 for i.
• Ability to analyze system performance and identify bottlenecks.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide AS400/RPG development and production support.
• Debug applications and system issues using STRDBG and job logs.
• Perform performance tuning and system optimization.
• Manage batch jobs and job scheduling with Control-M.
• Ensure security and authority management for user profiles.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to implement process improvements.
