Your Role

As an Art Director, Visual Merchandising & Retail Design at Mighty Jaxx, you will shape how our fans experience the brand across physical spaces. From next‑gen retail store concepts to event pop‑ups and visual merchandising installations, you’ll design immersive environments that fuse creativity, functionality, and storytelling. You will collaborate with the visual merchandising team and cross‑functional teams to ensure that our brand’s identity, messaging, and design are consistently represented.

Responsibilities
  • Conceptualise and design iconic and exciting physical retail stores, event spaces, and pop‑up activations that align with our brand identity.
  • Develop 2D plans, 3D visualisations, and mood boards to communicate design intent and present to stakeholders.
  • Design and unify merchandising systems, window displays, signage, and product display units.
  • Create compelling designs that highlight products and optimise customer flow and engagement.
  • Collaborate with the Trade Marketing team to conceptualise and deploy visual merchandising design strategies.
  • Prepare technical drawings and specifications for vendors and fabricators.
  • Oversee overall production, installation, and quality control.
  • Stay up‑to‑date with global retail, experiential, and spatial design trends.
  • Explore new materials, interactive technologies, and sustainable design solutions.
  • Ensure brand consistency in image, design, and messaging across all retail and spatial touchpoints.
  • Enhance brand awareness through strong retail and space design.
Requirements
  • Possess prior experience in graphic, visual merchandising or spatial design.
  • Experience in leading a small team of graphic designers.
  • Proven experience or education in graphic design or visual communication.
  • Deep knowledge of the Adobe Suite, with demonstrated expertise in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Knowledge of 3D softwares such as SketchUp or 3DS Max.
  • Well‑rounded skills in graphics, layouts, and typography.
  • Knowledge of, and interest in current visual merchandising design trends and best practices.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask efficiently on different projects.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Prior experience in FMCG visual merchandising or packaging design would be beneficial.
  • Portfolio of sample design work is required.
