Job Scope/ Responsibilities For Area Manager
1. Operational Oversight
- Supervise and support daily operations of multiple drink stalls across assigned outlets.
- Ensure adherence to company SOPs, hygiene and NEA regulations, and food safety standards.
2. Staff Management, Monitoring & Disciplinary Action
- Lead, train, and motivate coffee shop supervisors and drink counter staff to maintain high performance and servicequality.
- Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, and on-the-job behaviour through regular site visits and spot checks.
- Address misconduct or poor performance promptly:
- Provide coaching or verbal counselling for minor issues.
- Prepare and issue written warnings when required, following fair disciplinary procedures and MOM guidelines.
- Recommend further action (e.g., suspension or termination) for repeated or serious violations.
- Maintain accurate records of staff incidents, warnings, and disciplinary actions.
3. Sales, Cost & Cash Management
- Monitor daily sales and implement strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
- Oversee proper cash-handling daily cash counts, bank deposits, and reconciliation of sales reports.
- Investigate and resolve cash discrepancies promptly.
- Control operating expenses, including manpower, inventory, and wastage.
4. Repair & Maintenance
- Inspect outlets for equipment, furniture, and facility issues.
- Coordinate with vendors for timely repairs and servicing of machinery and fittings.
5. Quality & CustomerService
- Ensure consistent product quality and service standards across all outlets.
- Handle customer feedback, resolve complaints, and drive service improvements.
6. Inventory & Supply Chain
- Oversee ordering and stock management for cigarettes.
- Coordinate with suppliers for timely replenishment.
7. Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare operational, financial, and disciplinary reports for management review.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, including licensing and workplace safety.
Job Requirements
- Passion for the F&B industry and its operational processes.
- Diploma in F&B or related disciplines.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in food court or coffee shop operations.
- Ability to foster positive working relationships.
- Strong leadership qualities with excellent analytical and decision making.
- Computer knowledge.
- Preferably to process with own transport.
