Job summary

A leading construction and engineering firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced architectural coordinator. You will manage the architectural work schedule, coordinate sub-contractors, and ensure compliance with local building codes. The ideal candidate should have a degree in Architecture or Engineering and at least 3-5 years of relevant experience. Job Description
  • Develop and manage the architectural work schedule in line with the overall project master programme
  • Coordinate, monitor, and control architectural sub-contractors’ work progress, quality, and site activities to avoid conflicts
  • Liaise with consultant, sub-contractors, suppliers, and relevant stakeholders to resolve technical, design, and detailing issues
  • Prepare and submit materials, shop drawings, and method statements for consultant and client approval prior to commencement of works.
  • Manage and coordinate document submissions to relevant government Authorities (e.g. BCA, URA, SCDF, NEA, LTA, SFA, etc) and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Ensure timely delivery of approved materials and monitor storage, handling, and installation quality
  • Conduct site inspections and coordinate testing, mock-ups, and trade demonstrations for consultant approval.
  • Supervise architectural works to ensure compliance with specifications, drawings, quality standards, and workplace safety & health regulations.
  • Verify sub-contractors’ claims and assist the quantity surveyor in measurement and cost verification.
  • Support the project manager in coordination, documentation, and preparation of handing-over materials including as built drawing and O & M manuals.
  • Propose alternative materials, details, or methods for cost and time efficiency while maintaining design intent and compliance.
  • Control use of materials, labour, and equipment to ensure cost efficiency and productivity.
  • Maintain good working relationships with consultants, client, authorities, and project stakeholders.
  • Ensure all architectural works comply with BCA CONQUAS/Quality Mark standards and company’s Quality/Management System
  • Other ad-hoc tasks assigned.
Requirements
  • Degree in Architecture, building, Civil / Structural Engineering, or related disciplines
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in architectural coordination with the Singapore construction industry.
  • Sound knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and submission processes to authorities (BCA, URA, SCDF, NEA, LTA, etc)
  • Strong understanding of construction drawing, detailing, and sequencing of architectural works.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office, and project coordination software.
  • Familiar with CONQUAS/ Quality Mark standards and ISO quality documentation
  • Good leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to manage site teams and liaise with consultants and clients.
  • Able to work independently, handle multiple tasks, and meet project deadlines.
