Qualifications

• STEM, engineering or CS degree required.
• Applied AI experience is important.
• Forward Deployed Engineering experience preferred.
• You should own and complete work end-to-end.

Applied AI Engineer

Role Overview

This is a hands-on role focused on driving practical AI transformation across the company. You will design and deploy AI agents and intelligent systems that solve real operational problems and automate workflows across multiple departments, including logistics operations, warehouse processes, and related business functions.

Core Responsibilities

• Drive AI transformation by identifying high-impact opportunities and turning them into working solutions
• Build and deploy AI agents and LLM-powered systems that automate messy operational workflows
• Work directly with different departments to understand real problems and deliver usable tools
• Own projects end-to-end - from understanding the problem to delivering a working solution that teams actually use
• Stay current with the latest LLM advancements and major AI tools, and apply them effectively
• Continuously improve deployed solutions based on real-world feedback

Technical Skills Required

• Strong TypeScript skills
• Hands-on experience with React
• Recent personal projects using LangChain and RAG systems
• Practical experience building and deploying Applied AI solutions
• Strong understanding of popular and major AI tools currently available
• Up-to-date knowledge of the latest LLM advancements
• Experience with AI agents is highly valued

Background & Experience

• STEM, Engineering, or Computer Science background is required
• Forward Deployed Engineering experience is preferred
• Applied AI experience is important
• Product engineering or consulting experience is acceptable if you lack Forward Deployed Engineering experience
• High agency is required - you must own and complete work end-to-end

Domain & Soft Skills

• Ability to work with messy, real-world operational problems and turn them into structured AI solutions
• Comfortable working across different departments and with non-technical stakeholders
• Strong ownership and bias toward action
• Clear communication skills
