Job summary

Sincere Healthcare Group is offering an internship (3–6 months) to help implement AI for patient interactions. You will work with a technology vendor to enhance an AI agent platform by building knowledge bases, refining prompts, testing scenarios, and establishing rules and escalation paths.

You will learn configuring AI, test design, privacy considerations, and collaborate across teams to translate business needs into reliable AI behaviour; flexible hours and hybrid options may be considered.

The Internship

Sincere Healthcare Group is working with a technology vendor that already has an established AI agent platform. This internship is not about building a chatbot or AI agent from scratch.

You will help make the AI agent accurate, useful and ready for real patient interactions by building and enhancing its knowledge base, improving responses, testing patient scenarios, refining prompts and rules, and working with the vendor to translate business requirements into reliable AI behaviour.

What You'll Work On

1. Build and enhance the AI knowledge base: Organise accurate, AI-ready information on services, specialists, locations, packages, appointments and FAQs so the AI can retrieve and use the right content.
2. Improve AI responses: Refine prompts, instructions, context and response rules so answers are accurate, relevant, natural and aligned with Sincere's patient-facing tone.
3. Design and test patient conversation scenarios: Create realistic scenarios for appointments, service and pricing enquiries, FB/IG leads, follow-ups, reminders, FAQs, incomplete questions and changing intentions.
4. Define AI rules, boundaries and escalation: Clarify what the AI should answer, ask, action or elevate, including privacy, medical boundaries, information collection and human handover.
5. Conduct systematic testing and UAT: Test agreed business requirements, identify incorrect answers, hallucinations, missed intent and conversation failures, then refine the setup until outcomes improve.
6. Work with the technology vendor: Translate business requirements, test configurations and enhancements, document findings, track issues and follow through until they are resolved.

What You’ll Deliver

By the end of the internship, you will contribute towards improving the operational readiness of the AI agent platform, including:

• A structured and maintainable AI knowledge base for key patient enquiries.

• Refined prompts, response rules, guardrails and escalation logic.

• A library of patient conversation scenarios and UAT test cases.

• Documented issues, findings and improvement recommendations.

• Support towards achieving at least 90% successful performance across agreed patient scenarios and business requirements.

What We're Looking For

This internship is suited to Applied AI, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Data Science, IT or related students who want hands‑on experience implementing AI in a real business environment.

• Strong interest in Generative AI, LLMs and practical AI applications
• Basic understanding of prompt engineering, structured information and AI response testing
• Ability to turn business requirements into clear workflows, conversation logic and test cases
• Good written English, attention to detail and judgement in patient‑facing communication
• Comfortable testing systematically, troubleshooting issues and improving outcomes through iteration
• Curious, resourceful and willing to learn through real project work with internal teams and an external vendor

Useful but not essential: exposure to Python, APIs/JSON, RAG, LLM APIs, workflow automation tools, CRM systems or appointment platforms.

If you have built a chatbot, AI agent, automation or Generative AI project for school, a hackathon or your own curiosity, we would be glad to see it.

You do not need to know everything on Day 1. We are looking for someone who can learn quickly, test carefully, communicate clearly and take ownership of improving the AI agent's performance.
