Job summary

A-IT Software Services Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking an experienced mainframe developer to join a team delivering critical COBOL/CICS solutions for banking and card processing. The role requires deep expertise in Cardlink systems and a track record of delivering robust mainframe applications in a regulated environment.

You will write specifications, create documentation, and perform testing from unit to user acceptance, while coordinating with vendors and internal teams to ensure business

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of mainframe development in banking systems and cards
• At least 5 years experience on Cardlink system
• Proficient in COBOL, CICS and EZT programming
• Solid understanding of credit card systems
• Good communication and collaboration abilities
• Able to multi-task and perform under pressure
• Attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Develop CICS-COBOL programs according to functional and technical specs

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Work in team of developers to develop CICS-COBOL programs according to functional & technical specifications
• Write program specifications and documentation / flowcharts
• Perform unit and system integration testing
• Support user acceptance testing
• Manage and work with Technical team to implement solution that meet Business Requirements and are in alignment with organization's business objectives.
• Troubleshoot, debug and provide production system support
• Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to resolve application and system issues
• Recommend and execute improvements
• Partner with users to understand Business needs by reviewing the Requirements specifications analyze impact to the application.
• Execute tasks related to project / change request / maintenance request.

Requirements: Technical Skills & Experience

• Minimum 10 years of mainframe development, specifically in the areas of banking systems and cards
• At least 5 years experience on Cardlink system
• Technically competent in COBOL, CICS and EZT programming
• Good working experience with credit card system
• Good working knowledge skills with Microsoft Office Products and Microsoft Visio.
• Good understanding of the system development life cycle
• Ability to multi-task and perform well under pressure
• Excellent communication skills
• Resourcefulness and troubleshooting aptitude
• Attention to detail
