Operations Engineer (12-Month Contract)

We’re looking for an Operations Engineer with strong experience supporting application operations and production systems — particularly for modernisation projects involving COBOL and Java. If you’re passionate about operational excellence and cloud readiness, this role is for you!

Key Responsibilities

• Lead operational readiness and transition activities for modernisation systems (COBOL backend, Java + React frontend).
• Define and maintain operational processes — including monitoring, alerting, escalation, and documentation.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and work closely with developers and infra teams.
• Prepare for system cutover, knowledge transfer, and ensure smooth post go-live handover.
• Support compliance with security, audit, and enterprise standards.
• Participate in SLA/OLA tracking, DR/BCP testing, and service delivery reporting.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in application operations or production support.
• Hands‑on expertise in COBOL and Java‑based applications.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services, monitoring tools, and ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change).
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
