Job summary

A Singapore-based engineering firm is seeking an Application Engineer with expertise in PLC programming and SCADA systems. The role involves programming DDC/PLC logic, preparing system drawings, and managing projects through their lifecycle from concept to execution. Candidates should possess a degree in Electrical/Electronic or Mechanical Engineering, showcasing both teamwork and independent problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will also be knowledgeable in HVAC controls and able to handle troubleshooting activities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Sciences/Engineering is required.
• Good knowledge in Control Software Programming and PLC/SCADA systems is essential.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and perform troubleshooting independently.

Responsibilities

• Program DDC/PLC logic and HMI configuration.
• Prepare system drawings using AutoCAD.
• Document projects including FAT/SAT and liaise with clients for approvals.

Overview

Application Engineer (PLC Programming/SCADA)

Responsibilities

• Programming of DDC/PLC logic and HMI configuration
• Configuration of PLC network system
• System drawing preparation using the AutoCAD tool.
• To compile and provide a method of statements, risk assessments, layout details, design drawings, Operational & Manual, and As-Built drawings for Client review and approval.
• Implantation of PLC/SCADA project from concept to design and programming
• Capable of performing troubleshooting independently
• Work on projects assigned by the supervisor from time to time
• Responsible for the project's detailed design, prototype, commissioning, and testing of completed systems
• Liaise with the Customer and internal team members to ensure good coordination, planning, and meeting the project schedule
• Documentation for projects, such as FAT/SAT

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Sciences/Engineering.
