Job summary

A leading engineering company in Singapore is seeking an Application Engineer who will provide technical expertise and tailor solutions for customers. You will be responsible for configuring, testing, and optimizing applications, ensuring smooth implementation and reliable performance. Candidates should possess a Degree or Diploma in Engineering and at least 2 years of experience in Technical Sales and Application Engineering. Strong knowledge in factory automation, particularly in automotive, electronics, or medical/pharmaceutical sectors is essential. Immediate availability is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Technical Sales and Application Engineering.
• Possess strong knowledge in factory automation, preferably in automotive, electronics, and/or medical/pharmaceutical equipment manufacturing.
• Good command of English.

Responsibilities

• Review customer RFQ documents thoroughly, covering both technical and contractual requirements.
• Plan and propose cost-effective technical solutions that meet customer needs.
• Prepare accurate cost calculations for proposed concepts.
• Engage the operations team to ensure successful demand fulfillment.

Job description

As an Application Engineer, you will provide technical expertise to support customers and tailor solutions to their needs. You will configure, test, and optimize applications while ensuring smooth implementation and reliable performance. In this role, you will collaborate closely with internal teams, resolve technical issues, and deliver clear documentation and training to customers.

Job Responsibilities

1. Customer Requirements & RFQ Analysis

• Review customer RFQ documents thoroughly, covering both technical and contractual requirements.

• Conduct application reviews together with the sales team.

• Communicate customer requirements clearly to Product Management.

2. Technical Solution Development

• Plan and propose cost‑effective technical solutions that meet customer needs.

• Prepare proposal content such as concept layouts, technical descriptions, and full proposal documents.

• Manage and create application libraries according to standards to improve productivity.

3. Costing & Proposal Preparation

• Prepare accurate cost calculations for proposed concepts.

• Source and communicate with critical suppliers to obtain precise specifications and pricing.

• Develop high‑impact proposals and support customer contract reviews.

4. Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Fulfillment

• Engage the operations team to ensure successful demand fulfillment.

• Align with internal teams and follow company standards for procedures, documentation, and product usage.

Candidate Profile

Education & Experience

• Degree or Diploma in Engineering

• Minimum of 2 years’ experiences in Technical Sales and Application Engineering.

• Possess strong knowledge in factory automation, preferably in automotive, electronics, and/or medical/pharmaceutical equipmentmanufacturing.

Skills

• Skill user of AutoCAD and Inventor CAD Systems.

• Ability to provide accurate cost calculation.

• Good command of MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.).

Languages

• Good command of English.
