Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced software engineer in Singapore to research, design, and develop computer and network software and utilities. You will analyze user needs, implement lean, high-quality code, and drive testing, validation, and CI/CD across projects.

The role requires 10+ years in related activities, a strong foundation in .NET, C#, and front-end technologies, plus experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AI-driven automation.

Qualifications

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs.
• Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
• Update software, enhances existing software capabilities, and develops and direct software testing and validation procedures.
• Build quality, shippable, and reusable code according to design and coding standards.
• Write simple, purposeful, and lean code that aligns with GMI project guidelines and quality standards.
• Perform peer reviews when needed to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
• Implement Configuration Management on each of your work items to ensure version control and traceability.
• Perform unit tests to verify the functionality.
• Automate tests according to the test strategy, ensuring test coverage targets are met and adhering to software factory practices.
• Implement and perform technical tests as defined in the test strategy to ensure the software meets all requirements.
• Propose non-functional needs in sprints to ensure the software meets performance, security, and other non-functional requirements.
• Estimate, break down, and update User Stories and Tasks to ensure accurate project planning and tracking.
• Update Sprint Backlog to reflect progress and any changes in scope

Requirements:

• Candidates should have 10+ years of experience in relevant activities.
• Master's or bachelor's degree in computer science/ information technology/ Programming& Systems Analysis/ Science (Computer Studies) faculties.

• Experienced with .NET technologies and best practices and ensure up-to-date technical documentation.
• A strong understanding of advanced C# language features, such as async/await, dependency injection, etc.
• Good knowledge of algorithms and data structures, with strong fundamentals incomplexity analysis
• Strong ability to analyze code - understand execution flow & debug even without access to a debugger
• Experienced with the .NET CLI, GIT, writing and maintaining integration and unit tests.
• Experience with frontend web technologies (HTML5, CSS etc.) and popular JS frameworks (e.g. Angular) will be added advantage.
• Good knowledge in database management systems (SQL, Oracle, Sybase, MySQL)
• Experience with ORM frameworks such as Entity Framework Core (EF Core) for data access
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Shell script, PowerShell)
• Valuable exposure to tools & technologies like Elastic Search, Grafana, Prometheus, Kibana, Control-M, KAFKA, Confluence, Jira, Gitlab, MQ Series, SonarQube
• Experience with SSIS and SSRS for data integration, ETL, and reporting
• Knowledge of Cloud platforms and services (e.g. Microsoft Azure, AWS)
• Experience in DevOps tooling (GIT, NuGet/Ansible, Jenkins, GitLab CI)
• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes
• Experience developing and deploying AI-driven automation, such as AI agents, workflows for automated code development / quality / vulnerability detection / remediation
