Job summary

La Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec seeks a Director of Taxation to support Asia Pacific investment teams across infrastructure, private equity and real estate. You will identify tax risks and develop strategies aligning with best practices, reporting to the Managing Director and regional head in a collaborative regional hub.

Based in Singapore or Sydney, you will supervise external consultants, coordinate tax return prep, and monitor international tax developments to ensure compliant,

Qualifications

• CPA designation or law degree or equivalent
• Master's degree in taxation or equivalent
• At least ten years of relevant taxation experience in the region
• Experience in mergers and acquisitions, international tax and transfer pricing
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (English and French if possible)

Responsibilities

• Contract, supervise and coordinate external tax consultants, including due diligence and structuring of investments
• Represent the taxation sector with stakeholders involved in investments
• Identify tax planning opportunities and related risks, optimize structures
• Coordinate preparation of tax returns with external consultants and team members
• Manage tax audits and relationships with tax authorities in the region
• Monitor international tax developments and implement changes for compliance
