A global business information firm in Singapore is seeking a Director, Product Management for Asia/Pacific responsible for defining and managing products for the Japanese market. The ideal candidate must be bilingual in Japanese and English, with over 12 years of experience in business strategy and product management. This role involves collaborating with sales and technical teams while contributing to market development strategies, and requires strong communication skills to liaise with diverse partners.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years experience in business strategy, product management or related roles.
  • Knowledge of the business information landscape in Japan and the wider APAC Region.
  • Experience with technical documentation, content or data delivery for B2B business applications.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with sales, partner, marketing and client support teams.
  • Support customer‑facing teams and regional partners.
  • Identify and document requirements for new features and products.
  • Partner with product development to ensure requirements are met.
  • Liaise between local and global engineering teams.
  • Work with technical writers on documentation updates.
  • Work with Marketing on product messaging and strategies.
  • Contribute to sales documentation and training materials.
  • Present product enhancements to sales teams.
  • Work with the head of strategy to seek new market opportunities.
  • Review usage metrics to recommend changes.
