Job summary

A leading bank in Singapore is seeking a Platform Engineer to manage and maintain Kubernetes and OpenShift platforms across APAC. This role involves collaborating with global engineering teams and ensuring stability and performance of container platforms in both on-prem and cloud environments. Candidates should have strong experience in Kubernetes, automation tools, and infrastructure engineering.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in Kubernetes and OpenShift administration.
• Background in infrastructure engineering or systems operations (Linux, Wintel, networking).
• Familiar with automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or scripting in Bash/Python.
• Good understanding of monitoring, routing, and load balancing in container environments.
• Able to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues across hybrid (on-prem + cloud) setups.
• Independent, reliable, and positive team player who can coordinate across regions.
• Banking experience is not required but cross-functional exposure in enterprise environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Kubernetes and OpenShift environments across APAC.
• Configure clusters, namespaces, ports, ensuring proper monitoring is in place.
• Take over day-to-day platform operations from the global team once systems are deployed.
• Support deployments, patches, and troubleshooting for containerized infrastructure.
• Collaborate with HQ and local stakeholders to align with group-wide infra standards.
• Participate in BAU and project initiatives involving platform expansion and improvement.
• Support on-call coverage once the APAC structure is finalized.
