Job description

Our mission to positively impact people's lives every day in every home around the world allows our employees to be thinkers and tinkerers, designers and doers, creators and number crunchers, makers of things they love.

Position Overview

The APAC Data Analyst will play a central role in supporting the SSnA team turn data into decisions. This is not a pure reporting role — the person we are looking for is curious about why the numbers look the way they do, proactive about identifying gaps in available data, and confident enough to work with multi‑functional teams to fill those gaps. They will then synthesize those findings supporting grounded, actionable recommendations that commercial leaders can act on. They approach ambiguity and blockers with a solver’s mindset — when a challenge arises, they think it through, form a view on how to resolve it, and bring that view to the table. They will collaborate with the SSnA Lead on the path forward, but are comfortable making reasonable, independent calls when needed. The role spans the full APAC region and will primarily support commercial and sales analytics. From time to time, the analyst may be embedded into a specific market or function — for example, leading analytics for a major product launch or building out trade spend reporting for Japan — depending on business priorities.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Commercial Analysis & Insight Generation – Analyze sales trends, promotional performance, channel dynamics, and market share across APAC markets.
  • Go beyond the data provided – identify where information is missing, determine what is needed, and work with commercial, finance, and supply chain teams to source it.
  • Translate complex data into clear, structured narratives with grounded recommendations — not just observations.
  • Support pricing analysis, trade marketing ROI assessments, and post‑campaign reviews.
  • Dashboard Development & KPI Reporting – Design and maintain Power BI dashboards that give commercial teams timely visibility into sales, distribution, and promotional effectiveness.
  • Work with stakeholders to define meaningful KPIs — not just metrics that are easy to pull, but ones that reflect actual business performance.
  • Automate recurring reports to reduce manual effort and ensure consistent, timely data delivery.
  • Translate dashboard outputs into verbal and written summaries for non‑technical audiences.
  • Data Sourcing & Cross‑functional Collaboration – Proactively engage with finance, supply chain, marketing, and local market teams to gather the data needed for robust analysis.
  • Build trusted working relationships with country teams so that information flows freely and analysis reflects local market reality, not just what is visible in central systems.
  • Contribute to ongoing data infrastructure work, including supporting the APAC data warehouse and ensuring clean, consistent data pipelines.
  • Presentation & Recommendation Delivery – Prepare and deliver structured presentations to commercial leadership, from slide design to verbal delivery.
  • Frame analysis in business language: what happened, why it happened, what we should do about it, and what the risk of inaction is.
  • Support the SSnA Lead in preparing materials for senior stakeholders including the Regional President, CFO and Directors.
  • Market‑specific or Function‑specific Engagements – Depending on business needs, take on project‑based focus in a specific market (e.g., Japan, Australia, Korea) or function (e.g., demand forecasting, investment analytics).
  • Be adaptable and willing to go deep on an unfamiliar problem area rather than staying in a comfort zone.
Requirements
  • 3–5 years of experience in commercial analytics or business intelligence – preferably in consumer goods, FMCG, retail, or electronics.
  • SQL skill is a must have – comfortable writing and optimizing queries independently against large datasets.
  • Proficiency in Power BI – including data modeling, DAX, and dashboard design for non‑technical audiences.
  • Business acumen: an instinct for what matters commercially, and the ability to connect data to business decisions.
  • Proactive gap‑identification – the ability to notice what is missing from an analysis and take steps to enrich/resolve it, rather than working only within given constraints.
  • Cross‑functional communication skills – comfortable reaching out to finance, supply chain, or country teams to get what is needed.
  • Structured communication – able to present findings as a clear story with a recommendation, not just a data dump.
  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Economics, or a related field.
  • Fluency in English; strong written and verbal communication.
  • Exposure to trade marketing, promotional analytics, or channel management in a Consumer electronics/FMCG context.
  • Experience working across multiple markets in APAC simultaneously.
  • Experience with Snowflake or other cloud data warehouses.
