Avient Corporation in Singapore seeks a Chemist to lead analytical and testing activities in our laboratory, oversee daily operations, ensure data integrity, and maintain instrumentation across diverse techniques for polymeric materials, additives, and pigments.

You will design experiments, validate methods, collaborate with R&D, QC and production, train technicians, and translate results into actionable insights for product development and quality assurance.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in chemistry or related field with 2–3 years of experience.
• Fresh Bachelor graduates welcome.
• Proven expertise operating analytical instruments and data analysis.
• Hands-on in HPLC, wet chemistry, and polymeric materials analysis.
• Biocompatibility testing knowledge is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills at all levels of the organization.

Responsabilidades

• Lead analytical activities in the Characterization Laboratory and manage instrumentation.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot HPLC, FTIR, DSC, TGA, XRF and related tools.
• Design and perform wet chemistry experiments including titrations and solvent extraction.
• Analyze data and translate results into actionable insights for product development and failure analysis.
• Develop, validate, and implement new analytical methods per requirements and regulatory standards.
• Create documentation and work instructions for laboratory equipment.
• Collaborate with Technology, QC, and production teams.
