sgovterp seeks a regulatory professional to shape the future of Singapore's energy sector through economic regulation. You will analyze market dynamics, develop regulatory frameworks, and drive policy initiatives to promote competition, security of supply, and sustainability.

The role involves reviewing frameworks, tariffs, and licensing to accommodate new business models and technologies, while handling consumer enquiries.

Qualificações

• Education in economics, accountancy, finance, business or a related field.
• Experience in economic analysis and policy work; experience in regulation of natural monopolies or infrastructure is an advantage.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation and communication skills (written and verbal).
• Resourceful, able to work independently and in a team.
• Able to work under tight timelines and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
• Positive team player with an interest in shaping Singapore's energy industry.

Responsabilidades

• Review economic regulation frameworks to ensure incentives for natural monopolies to operate efficiently and invest prudently.
• Assess regulated fees and tariffs to ensure adequate recovery of prudent investments.

[What you will be working on]

The successful candidate is required to:

• Review economic regulation frameworks to ensure that appropriate economic incentives are in place for natural monopolies to operate efficiently and invest prudently in energy infrastructure.
• Assess the regulated fees and tariffs charged by monopolies to ensure adequate recovery of prudent investments.
• Review the regulated gas tariffs.
• Review the licensing framework to embrace new business models and new energy technologies, and assess licence applications to allow new entrants to the gas sector.
• Handle consumer enquiries and feedback.

Requirements:
