Job summary

Lonza Group Ltd. is seeking a QC-Analyst (Microbiology-Shift) to support routine QC sampling and testing for environmental and product samples, including bioburden and endotoxin testing. The role requires shift work at the Tuas site in Singapore.

You will perform microbiology and EM testing across materials and products, review results, monitor trends, and help resolve issues while adhering to cGMP and approved methods. This position offers strong growth opportunities and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Degree/diploma in Chemistry or science field.
• Experience in cGMP and approved methods.
• Knowledge of microbiology testing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform microbiology and environmental monitoring testing on raw materials, in-process samples, bulk products, and environmental samples.
• Conduct microbiological tests such as bioburden, LAL, microbial plating and counting, and microbial identification.
• Review and document test results accurately in compliance with cGMP, SOPs, and approved test methods.
• Monitor and analyze microbiological trends, identify unusual results, and prepare required reports.
• Support laboratory investigations and troubleshooting when there are unexpected or out-of-specification results.
• Troubleshoot analytical methods and laboratory equipment and help resolve technical issues.
• Participate in method transfer, method validation, equipment qualification, and selection of QC equipment, standards, and reagents.
• Support process and environmental microbiology investigations when required.
• Maintain the laboratory, including equipment maintenance, housekeeping, and inventory management of laboratory supplies.
• Ensure all laboratory activities and documentation are completed accurately and in accordance with cGMP requirements.

What we’re looking for

• Degree/Diploma in a relevant Chemistry, Science field or Equivalent.
• Relevant experience and accomplishment to dictate final position for which the candidate may qualify.
• Well versed in cGMP regulations.
• Knowledge of area specific responsibilities.
• Good problem solving and analytical skills.
