Based at La Caisse’s (formerly known as CDPQ) Singapore office and reporting to the Managing Director, Private Equity, the successful candidate will support the achievement of the business objectives of the International Private Equity team and portfolio. The successful candidate will acts a an expert in his/her sectors of activity, contributing to optimizing returns, collaborating on transactions and closely monitoring portfolio companies to create value.
What You Will Do
- Participate in the selection of deals and help prepare, within established timelines, preliminary analysis and documents for investment recommendations.
- Support investment directors by conducting rigorous modelling that draws out the principle decision points.
- Contribute to the creation of internal reports based on established timelines and keep them up to date.
- Comprehensively review company financial reports, establish comparables that are representative of the market and the competition and conduct a detailed analysis of them.
- Support directors in preparing and organizing discussions and meetings with partners.
- Systematically conduct in-depth research on current conditions and trends related to his/her sectors of activity, proactively monitor the news and collect information from key sources.
- Develop effective search and monitoring tools.
- Produce sector studies on potential markets to develop.
- Participate in the development of work processes and updating required information.
- Generate value-add in the portfolio by advising directors on major market trends.

What You Bring
- Singapore citizen or a PR
- At least two (2) years’ experience in investment banking or private equity
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics or accounting
- Master’s degree in finance and/or CFA designation would be an advantage
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be taken into consideration
- Excellent financial modelling & analysis skills
- Comfortable with software used in finance (Excel, Capital IQ, Copilot, Bloomberg, etc.)
- Excellent command of English is required, both written and spoken
- Fluency in Japanese and understanding of the Japanese market is a strong advantage to facilitate interactions with potential partners and target companies.
