Job summary

Public Service Division’s Data Office is seeking an analyst to support the collection, verification and publication of public service workforce data under the Team Lead’s guidance. You will coordinate with agencies to ensure data quality and consistency across definitions.

You will write Python scripts to automate data processing, analyse datasets for logic errors, and assist in preparing publications from the collected data.

Qualifications

• Meticulous, analytical and comfortable working with numbers and data.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Good communications skills and sound judgement.
• Experience with data processing or AI tools is a plus.

What the role is:

Key ResponsibilitiesAs part of the Data Engineering & Infrastructure team with PSD’s Data Office, you will be supporting the Team Lead in the collection, verification, and publication of the public service workforce data.

• Write and edit Python scripts to automate data processing.

What we are looking for:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Proficient in Python (focus on data processing).
• Experience in AI (e.g. LLMs, RAG) or Tableau is optional but helpful.
• Meticulous, analytical, comfortable working with numbers and data.
• Good communications skills.
• Thinking clearly and making sound judgement.
