Job summary

A trading company in Singapore is seeking an individual to actively support deal entry, analysis, and reporting within the trading team. You will ensure data accuracy, monitor cargo movements, and compile monthly earnings forecasts. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams to resolve operational issues.

Responsibilities

• Support deal entry, analysis, and reporting activities.
• Enter daily trade data into the Trading System.
• Review and validate trader-entered deals for accuracy.
• Update trades based on trader input as cargo statuses evolve.
• Perform exposure reconciliation and analyze daily changes.
• Monitor physical cargo movements and pricing periods.
• Collaborate with various teams to resolve operational issues.
• Compile monthly earnings forecasts and performance highlights.

Job description

Job scope:

• Plays an active role within the regional trading team by supporting deal entry, analysis, and reporting activities.
• Enters daily trade data into the Trading System across various deal types, ensuring accurate and timely communication with relevant stakeholders and adherence to deadlines.
• Reviews and validates trader-entered deals in the Trading System to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Updates existing trades based on trader input, aligning them for allocations and actualizations as cargo statuses evolve.
• Proficient in exposure reconciliation, analysing daily changes in volumes, identifying discrepancies, and assessing impacts on Profit and Loss.
• Monitors physical cargo movements, pricing periods, and futures expiry dates, delivering timely and precise exposure data to the Trading team.
• Collaborates with front, middle, and back-office teams to resolve operational issues.
• Compiles monthly earnings forecasts, business performance highlights, and commentary for management reporting.
