Role Overview
Working in the Global Resilience COO Office, you will be required to provide daily operational supports and assistance in the following area:
- Help in coordination of project, global initiatives, across different teams and regions, acting as a central coordinator; help follow up, monitor and ensure completion of activity and key tasks
- Work on global projects to help improve organizational efficiency, streamlining processes and standardize them where relevant
- Help design and prepare reports, MI and presentation materials for senior management
- Assist and manage system and process enhancements, help to automate processes where required
- Assist in gathering the annual budget requirements and monitoring spend to ensure that costs stay within the approved limits
- Assist in monitoring audit issues and ensuring timely closure of respective audit observations
- Assist in developing and implementing business resilience strategies and plans align with Nomura’s Group goals
- Assist in designing controls and implement processes to enhance governance, including help on policy reviews, regulatory requirements like outsourcing, business resiliency, etc.
- Assist on administrative Resilience matters where relevant and required (meeting coordination, meeting minutes, preparing Townhall presentations, drafting messages, announcement)
Skills, experience, qualifications, and knowledge required
- Minimum Bachelors Degree
- Minimum 2 years of experience in audit, risk management, COO function
- Demonstrated experience supporting or managing Operational Resilience and/or Business Continuity frameworks, including planning, testing, or reporting processes.
- Proven ability to manage deliverables independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and maintain high accuracy in documentation and reporting.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating projects, managing timelines, and tracking deliverables across functions or regions.
- Proven ability to identify issues, analyze root causes, and propose practical and data-driven solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret quantitative and qualitative data to support decision-making and performance evaluation.
- Proficiency in verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across departments and influence stakeholders.
- Proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, data analysis, charting) and PowerPoint for report creation and data visualization.
- Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new systems, tools, and technologies to enhance workflow efficiency.
- Proven experience in evaluating business processes and data to identify operational gaps and recommend measurable improvements.
