DESIGNATION : Analyst (Electricity Bidding & Trading)
RESPONSIBILITIES

You will join our team of Analysts in our Electricity Bidding & Trading and will be involved in operational submissions and market analysis, including preparing and submitting generation bids into the National Electricity Market of Singapore (NEMS) according to established commercial and operational guidelines, monitoring demand and supply dynamics, and carrying out supporting analyses for portfolio management.

QUALIFICATIONS

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct analyses including tracking competitor bidding behaviour, monitoring demand/supply trends, and preparing market operations reports.
  • Perform real-time submission of generation bids during rostered duty, in line with operational parameters and market rules, to support optimal portfolio outcomes.
  • Understand the contractual obligations of the various generation-related contracts and coordinate with the power plant operations team to ensure effective alignment of generation schedules with bidding requirements.
  • Prepare daily estimated Gross Margin performance, highlight key market events or operational activities, and prepare month-end accruals for submission to Finance.
  • Administer electricity contract-for-differences (CfDs) as part of market operations, including handling quotations, maintaining documentation, and coordinating settlements.
