Job description
Key Learning Objectives:
1. Technical Foundations
  • Learn the structure, variability, and challenges of biomedical data (e.g., noise, drift, motion artifacts).
  • Acquire foundational skills in biomedical signal processing, feature extraction, and machine learning approaches.
2. Algorithm Development
  • Design and implement algorithms for biomedical data pre-processing, classification, or trend detection.
  • Apply filtering, noise reduction, and adaptive methods suitable for continuous or real-time sensing.
3. Data Validation and Analysis
  • Evaluate algorithm performance using metrics such asaccuracy, sensitivity, and robustness.
  • Conduct validation using experimental or prototype data
  • Compare algorithmic approaches to identify optimalmethods for specific biomedical targets.
4. Document and communicate development progress
  • Present technical findings through written reports, presentations, or demonstration prototypes.
Intern’s Responsibilities:
  • Assist in data handling
  • Support algorithm development

  • Review relevant literature, summarize findings and propose ideas for improvement
  • Ensure code and data management standards
Training and Development:
  • What training will be provided to interns?(e.g., software tools, technical workshops, soft skills)
  • Technical and Research Training: Biomedical Data Processing Fundamental, Algorithm Design and Machine Learning, Data Validation and Evaluation Techniques
  • Software tools: git for version control
  • Soft skills: agile project workflow, documentation & reporting, literature (papers/patents) review skills
Will the intern be involved in any projects or team work?
