Job summary

A leading technology center in Singapore is looking for interns to assist in biomedical data processing and algorithm development. The ideal candidates will receive training in fundamental techniques and tools while collaborating within a supportive and vibrant team. Job description
Key Learning Objectives
1. Technical Foundations
  • Learn the structure, variability, and challenges of biomedical data (e.g., noise, drift, motion artifacts).
  • Acquire foundational skills in biomedical signal processing, feature extraction, and machine learning approaches.
2. Algorithm Development
  • Design and implement algorithms for biomedical data pre-processing, classification, or trend detection.
  • Apply filtering, noise reduction, and adaptive methods suitable for continuous or real-time sensing.
3. Data Validation and Analysis
  • Evaluate algorithm performance using metrics such as accuracy, sensitivity, and robustness.
  • Conduct validation using experimental or prototype data
  • Compare algorithmic approaches to identify optimal methods for specific biomedical targets.
4. Document and communicate development progress
  • Present technical findings through written reports, presentations, or demonstration prototypes.

Training and Development

  • Soft skills: agile project workflow, documentation & reporting, literature (papers/patents) review skills

Will the intern be involved in any projects or team work?
