Job summary

A global leader in regional aviation support is seeking a Technical Support Engineer based in Singapore. This role involves providing essential 24/7 support for turboprop aircraft, diagnosing faults, and coordinating maintenance efforts. Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with regional turboprops and possess a valid Part-66 AML. This position offers exposure to a variety of challenges across the Asia-Pacific region.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience on regional turboprops.
  • Type rating on target aircraft highly preferred.
  • Fluent English, additional Asian languages a plus.

Job description

Join a global leader in regional aviation support as a Technical Support Engineer specializing in turboprop aircraft. Based in Singapore, you’ll provide critical expertise to airlines across the Asia-Pacific, ensuring rapid resolution of in-service issues.

What You’ll Do
  • Deliver 24/7 remote and on-site support for structural, systems, and avionics challenges
  • Lead AOG (Aircraft on Ground) recovery—diagnose faults, coordinate spares, and guide maintenance teams
  • Serve as the primary liaison for airline MROs, engineering, and flight operations
  • Analyze technical documentation, ADs, SBs, and repair schemes
  • Partner with OEM and supply chain to expedite critical parts and repairs
  • Perform root-cause investigations and issue post-event reports
What You Bring
  • Minimum 5 years hands-on experience on regional turboprops (e.g., Dash 8, Q400, Embraer 170/190, or similar)
  • Valid Part-66 AML (B1/B2) or equivalent (ICAO Type II) – type rating on target aircraft highly preferred
  • Deep knowledge of ATA chapters (21, 24, 27, 29, 32, 52, 53, 57)
  • Proven AOG response and field support track record
  • Fluent English (written & verbal); additional Asian languages a plus
  • Willingness to travel (10–20%) across APAC for on-site assistance
