Job summary

GLOBE FRESH COOL SERVICES in Singapore is recruiting an Aircon Engineering Technician to install, maintain and repair a wide range of air conditioning equipment, from wall-mounted units to VRV/VRF systems. The role involves hands-on work, accurate record-keeping, and safety compliance.

You should have at least 2 years of relevant experience, an NITEC or equivalent, a Singapore Class 3 license, and the ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• NITEC or equivalent.
• Singapore Class 3 Driving Licence.
• Able to carry heavy loads and read schematics.
• Strong mechanical, electrical and hydraulic system knowledge.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team with good communication.
• 5.5 days work week.
• Only Singaporeans.
• Need to communicate with Chinese speaking customers.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair aircon equipment including wall-mounted, cassette, ceiling-suspended, and window units.
• Install components like compressor, condenser, and evaporator.
• Test and diagnose problems; perform repairs.
• Repair or replace defective parts such as motors, gears, electrical components.
• Troubleshoot complex machinery (hydraulic and pneumatic systems).
• Maintain accurate service records.
• Collaborate with other technicians and engineers.
• Follow safety procedures and keep up to date with new technologies.
• Provide technical support to customers; input findings into system.
• Any other duties as assigned by the Company.

Job description

Aircon Engineering Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing various types of aircon equipment (Eg. Wall-mounted aircon sets, Cassette units, Ceiling Suspended units, Window units, Daikin VRV systems and Mitsubishi VRF systems)

Responsibilities:

• Installing new equipment and machinery
• Installing the necessary components of an air conditioning systems such as the compressor, condenser and evaporator
• Maintenance on air conditioning systems to ensure they are functioning properly
• Inspecting and testing equipment to diagnose problems and determine necessary repairs
• Repairing or replacing defective parts, such as motors, belts, gears, and electrical components
• Troubleshooting and repairing complex machinery, such as hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Maintaining accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed
• Collaborating with other technicians and engineers to identify and resolve equipment issues
• Following safety procedures and regulations to ensure a safe working environment
• Keeping up-to-date with new technologies and techniques in the field of maintenance and repair
• Providing technical support to customers or clients
• Able to type report of findings into system.
• Any other tasks or duties assigned by the Company
