Job summary

Nanyang Technological University Singapore’s School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering seeks a Project Officer to support AI-based visual analytics system development. The role focuses on conducting research in computer vision, image processing, and multimedia forensics for human and marine monitoring applications.

Responsibilities include researching visual search, creating large-scale datasets, joining funded projects, and assisting in grant proposal drafting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a good Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Signals Processing, Machine Learning, or related field.
• Research background in Deep Learning, Large Language Models (LLMs), or Large Vision Language Models (LVLMs).
• Proficient in Python and PyTorch, with familiarity in C/C++.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English; research publications are an advantage for data analysis and stakeholder communication.
• Ability to engage stakeholders and guide student assistants.

Responsibilities

• Research into Visual Search and Video Analytics related work, such as object detection and visual object inspection.
• Creation of large-scale datasets for research and algorithm evaluation.
• Be part of a research team in the execution of funded research projects.
• Assist in drafting proposals for research grants in the above areas.
