Job summary

De ion seeks an experienced AI Lead on a contract basis to steer the development of innovative AI solutions. The role requires strong AI/ML expertise, leadership, and the ability to mentor junior staff.

The successful candidate will lead end-to-end solution engineering, define AWS-based standards, and collaborate with architecture, cloud, data, governance, and delivery teams to ensure secure, scalable, and enterprise-aligned outcomes.

Qualifications

• 7-15 years in AI and machine learning.
• 7+ years in software/AI engineering, incl. 3+ years in senior technical lead or architect roles.
• Hands-on production AI/ML/GenAI experience.
• Deep AWS AI and cloud-native services expertise (Bedrock, SageMaker, Textract, Comprehend, OpenSearch, Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, S3).

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end AI solution engineering, from architecture and design through production delivery, ensuring technical quality across in-house and vendor solutions.
• Define standards for AWS-based AI solutions, covering GenAI, Agentic AI, RAG, LLM integration, document intelligence, orchestration, and MLOps/LLMOps.
• Partner with Architecture, Cloud, Data, Governance, and delivery teams to ensure solutions are secure, scalable, reusable, cost-efficient, and enterprise-aligned.
• Provide hands‑on technical leadership, including solution design, implementation reviews, team leadership, and vendor management.
