Qualifications

• 5+ years of cybersecurity experience across security engineering, architecture, or related domains.
• Practical experience with AI/GenAI technologies or AI-enabled security solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop security standards, controls and guardrails for AI adoption.
• Conduct security assessments and threat modelling across LLMs and AI-enabled apps.
• Define secure architecture patterns covering authentication, data protection and logging.
• Embed Security-by-Design into AI development and deployment lifecycles.
• Identify opportunities to use AI in cybersecurity, including threat intel and detection engineering.
• Design AI-enabled security workflows with human-in-the-loop controls.
• Evaluate third-party AI platforms from cybersecurity and risk perspectives.
• Support AI security governance frameworks and assurance methodologies.

We are looking for an AI Security Specialist to strengthen the organisation's approach to securing AI adoption and leveraging AI to enhance cybersecurity capabilities.

The role sits at the intersection of cybersecurity, AI engineering and security architecture, working closely with Cybersecurity, Technology, Data and AI teams to establish practical security guardrails and develop AI-enabled security solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop security standards, controls and technical guardrails for AI, GenAI and Agentic AI adoption.
• Conduct security assessments and threat modelling across LLMs, RAG architectures, AI agents and AI-enabled applications.
• Assess risks including prompt injection, data leakage, excessive agency, insecure integrations and identity/access risks.
• Define secure architecture patterns covering authentication, authorisation, data protection, logging and monitoring.
• Embed Security-by-Design into AI development and deployment lifecycles.
• Identify and implement opportunities to use AI and automation within cybersecurity, including threat intelligence, detection engineering, vulnerability management and security assurance.
• Design and prototype AI-enabled security workflows, agents and automation, incorporating appropriate human-in-the-loop, validation and source-grounding controls.
• Evaluate third-party AI platforms and emerging technologies from a cybersecurity and risk perspective.
• Support the development of AI security governance frameworks, policies and assurance methodologies.
• Stay abreast of emerging AI threats and translate developments into practical security controls and recommendations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of cybersecurity experience, ideally across security engineering, architecture, application/cloud security, SecOps, threat intelligence or offensive security.
• Practical experience with AI/GenAI technologies, AI-enabled security solutions or security automation.
• Understanding of security risks associated with LLMs, RAG and Agentic AI.
• Strong knowledge of security architecture, threat modelling and Security-by-Design principles.
• Familiarity with cloud security and frameworks such as NIST, MITRE ATT&CK, CIS and ISO 27001.
• Ability to translate emerging technical risks into pragmatic security solutions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
