Job summary

Singapore Management University is seeking a Research Scientist (11-month contract) in the School of Computing and Information Systems. The role focuses on failure analysis, ADS safety, and robust motion planning for ADSs, with emphasis on AI security and software testing.

The candidate will contribute to research papers, work within a small, agile academic team, and engage in independent as well as collaborative work to advance ADS testing methodologies.

Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or related field.
• Publications in software engineering, AI or cybersecurity areas are valued.
• Experience with AI/ADS testing and software testing is required or advantageous.
• Proficiency in Python and PyTorch is desirable.
• Ability to work independently and in small, agile research teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop methods for failure analysis and root cause analysis of critical scenarios.
• Develop methods to mitigate failures and improve ADS safety.
• Investigate robust motion planning for ADSs that tolerate module failures.
• Write research papers.
• Other duties as assigned.
