Job summary

Morgan McKinley is seeking an experienced AI Security Architect to provide security architecture and advisory across a cloud-enabled tech environment with growing AI adoption. You will collaborate with Technology, Engineering, Cloud, Data and Cybersecurity teams to embed security-by-design into new solutions, covering AI platforms, data flows and integrations.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Cybersecurity, ideally in Security Architecture, Application Security, Cloud Security, Security Engineering or Technology Risk.
• Solid understanding of security architecture principles and secure-by-design practices.
• Experience in cloud or cloud-native environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge across Application/API Security, IAM, Data Security, DevSecOps, Cloud Security and Security Monitoring.
• Exposure to AI/ML, Generative AI or AI security is advantageous; strong fundamentals with interest in AI security encouraged.
• Experience conducting architecture reviews, threat modelling or security risk assessments.
• Ability to translate security requirements into practical solutions and collaborate across teams.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform security architecture and design reviews across applications, cloud platforms, AI solutions and emerging technologies.
• Identify security risks and design gaps and recommend practical security controls and architecture improvements.

The role will work closely with Technology, Engineering, Cloud, Data and Cybersecurity teams to ensure security is embedded into new solutions from the design stage. We welcome candidates with strong backgrounds in Security Architecture, Application Security, Cloud Security or Security Engineering who are interested in expanding their expertise into AI security.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform security architecture and design reviews across applications, cloud platforms, AI solutions and emerging technologies.

Requirements

• Strong experience in Cybersecurity, ideally within Security Architecture, Application Security, Cloud Security, Security Engineering or Technology Risk.
• Good understanding of security architecture principles and secure-by-design practices.
• Experience working within cloud or cloud-native environments, such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Knowledge across areas such as Application/API Security, IAM, Data Security, DevSecOps, Cloud Security and Security Monitoring.
• Exposure to AI/ML, Generative AI or AI security would be advantageous, but candidates with strong security architecture fundamentals and an interest in developing deeper AI security expertise are encouraged to apply.
• Experience conducting architecture reviews, threat modelling or security risk assessments.
• Ability to work closely with architects, developers, engineers and cybersecurity teams and translate security requirements into practical solutions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
