Job summary

Standard Chartered Singapore invites penultimate-year students to join the AI Research Internship Programme 2027. You will work with AI researchers, engineers, business leaders and academics across our global network, contributing to research projects that apply AI to real banking challenges.

Over 10 weeks, you’ll learn through a structured induction, engage in real projects, build future-ready skills and gain exposure to products, clients and our international network.

Qualifications

• Currently studying Computer Science, AI, Data Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong foundation in AI and machine learning.
• Working knowledge of Python and experience building prototypes, ideally using generative AI.
• Curious about emerging technologies and enjoy researching new ideas, experimenting and communicating what you discover clearly.

You’ll work alongside experienced AI researchers, engineers and business leaders on collaborative research projects, from developing new research ideas and reviewing proposals to running experiments and exploring how emerging AI could be used in banking.

We’re Looking For People Who

Eligibility

To be eligible for this internship, you should be a penultimate year student, able to intern in June 2027, and start full time in July 2028. You should have the permanent legal right to work in the country you’re applying to.
