About The Role

Nscale is looking for an AI Product Engineer II to join our product engineering team. You'll own features end-to-end — from design through to production — across the AI services platform, APIs, and developer tooling that AI teams depend on every day. This is a role where your work has a direct line to customers. You'll collaborate closely with product, design, and AI infrastructure teams, and grow your engineering depth in a fast‑moving environment building some of the most critical infrastructure in AI.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver product features end-to-end within the team's domain
• Own the quality, reliability, and observability of your delivered components
• Identify edge cases, technical debt, and opportunities for improvement proactively
• Contribute to design documents and participate in technical decision‑making discussions
• Support newer team members through code reviews and pairing sessions
• Collaborate across product, design, and AI infrastructure teams to deliver cohesive experiences
• Maintain a clear and shared understanding of the codebase within your squad

Requirements

• 2–5 years of software engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in backend or full‑stack development (Python, TypeScript, Go, or similar)
• Experience building and maintaining REST or GraphQL APIs in production
• Solid understanding of cloud platform design patterns and distributed systems fundamentals
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of features and drive them to completion independently
• Attention to detail: edge cases, error handling, and test coverage are first‑class concerns

Preferred

• Experience building AI‑integrated product features (LLM APIs, model management, agentic UX)
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and cloud‑native deployment patterns
• Experience with developer‑facing products, CLIs, or SDKs
• Exposure to TypeScript/React for building developer‑facing tooling or lightweight web surfaces
