Job summary

Aleph (Formerly Red Alpha Cyber) is seeking an AI Cyber Defence Specialist to lead threat management across SOC, Vulnerability Management, Threat Hunting and DFIR by leveraging AI. Reporting to the CISO Office, the role ensures capabilities are intelligence-led and aligned with regulatory expectations.

You will manage 24x7 SOC operations, drive MITRE ATT&CK-based detections, coordinate with MSSP/MDR, oversee incident response, and report security risk and trends to senior management.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity or related field.
• Proven cybersecurity track record with 5+ years in the field and 3+ years leading a team.
• Experience leading major incident responses (ransomware, intrusions, data breaches).
• Hands-on with SIEM, EDR/XDR, and SOAR; vulnerability management experience.
• Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK, CIS Controls and ISO/IEC 27001.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled security operations and AI threat detection.

Responsibilities

• Lead 24x7 SOC operations with MSSP/MDR partners, ensuring SLAs.
• Own SOC operating model, playbooks, runbooks and escalation matrix.
• Drive detection engineering across SIEM/EDR/XDR; map to MITRE ATT&CK.
• Ensure log source coverage from endpoints to network.
• Oversee SOAR automation for alert enrichment and containment.
• Define and report SOC KPIs/KRIs to CISO and executives.
• Lead responses to zero-day vulnerabilities with rapid patching coordination.
• Establish threat hunting using threat intelligence and telemetry.
• Translate hunt findings into new detections and improvements.
• Analyse threat intel from multiple sources to inform actions.
• Operationalise threat intelligence and manage the TIP.
• Coordinate security incident response across teams and partners.
• Manage vendor relationships and cyber defence budget.
• Present threat landscape and incident trends to leadership.
• Support audits and regulatory inspections with evidence of controls.
• Coordinate with stakeholders during incidents and changes in scope.
