Job summary

Univers is seeking a forward-thinking AI Platform Foundation Architect to evolve our core platform into an AI-native, highly scalable ecosystem. You will define architecture across IaaS, Middleware, Big Data, and AI Infrastructure, including enterprise AI Gateways for token optimization and cost control.

You will bridge traditional infrastructure with AI agentic operations, enabling escalation of platform and product teams through automated deployments, RCA, and real-time analysis.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with AI Gateways, token optimization, and hosting small language models or open-source models.
• Familiarity with LLMs/AI Agents for log analysis, automated deployment checks, RCA, or AI-driven alerting.
• Deep architecture expertise in messaging queues, caches, and modern data/time-series platforms.
• Strong experience in public/hybrid clouds, Kubernetes orchestration, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Expert-level knowledge of observability tools for monitoring CPU, IO, storage, and bottlenecks.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and enterprise platform design.

Responsibilities

• Oversee evaluation, selection, architecture standards, and operational frameworks for enterprise middleware.
• Architect and optimize high-throughput Big Data platforms and time-series databases for real-time telemetry.
• Provide scalable cloud-native and hybrid IaaS solutions using IaC principles.
• Design automated horizontal/vertical scaling to balance performance and cost.
• Establish full-stack telemetry and monitoring across hardware and software.
• Architect multi-region, fault-tolerant systems ensuring continuous availability.
• Design automated backup, snapshots, and DR workflows for core data assets.
• Integrate AI agents and LLM/SLM capabilities into CI/CD and deployments for rapid RCA.
• Architect and deploy centralized AI Gateways to manage token usage, caching, rate-limits, and cost allocation.
• Develop hosting/inference infra for small edge models and open-source models.
• Build a unified AI Infra layer for model serving and resource orchestration.
