Job summary

NCS PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks an AI Native Builder to design, productise, and deploy AI-powered solutions for regulated sectors.

You will turn client challenges into MVPs and scalable platforms, working across live engagement contexts in APAC. You will partner with AI Central and client teams to translate requirements into architecture, models, and automation, combining software engineering with model orchestration and modern tooling.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on engineering ability in Python, JavaScript, or similar languages.
• 1-3 years of delivering AI, ML, or generative AI solutions in real-world settings.
• Strong understanding of modern AI tooling, including LLM patterns, orchestration frameworks, automation platforms, evaluation approaches, and model limitations.
• Ability to work independently, navigate ambiguity, and deliver outcomes at pace.
• Strong product instinct, engineering depth, business acumen, critical thinking, and technical judgement.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI product and solution delivery from client problem statement to MVP or deployable AI solution.
• Advise senior client stakeholders on AI investment priorities, architecture decisions, and build-versus-buy choices.
• Apply modern AI tooling and model evaluation approaches with a balance of speed and security in enterprise contexts.
• Build reusable patterns and playbooks to scale AI-native delivery across sectors and geographies.
• Support onboarding and capability development of engineers in the team.

As aAI Native BuilderinAI Central, you will help build, productise, and deploy AI-powered products, MVPs, reusable assets, and new ventures for regulated and mission-critical sectors. You will work in live client contexts, turning ambiguous business challenges into working solutions that can be tested, adopted, and scaled across Singapore and the wider Asia Pacific region.

AI Central is NCS’s enterprise AI capability spine, responsible for building differentiated AI platforms and reusable assets across sectors such as aviation, land transport, public safety, telecommunications, and government.

What will you do?

AI Product & Solution Delivery

• Lead the journey from client problem statement to working prototype, MVP, or deployable AI solution.
• Translate ambiguous business challenges into clear product hypotheses, technical approaches, and execution plans.
• Build and ship AI-enabled solutions using software engineering, model orchestration, automation, and design tools.
• Drive fast experiments and iterative delivery cycles to validate desirability, feasibility, and business value.

Client Advisory & Stakeholder Engagement

• Work directly with client technology and business leaders to understand business needs and shape AI-enabled products.
• Advise senior stakeholders on AI investment priorities, architecture decisions, and build-versus-buy choices.
• Challenge assumptions constructively and help create clarity through practical, outcome-focused execution.

AI Engineering, Quality & Delivery Judgement

• Make sound trade-offs across speed, quality, security, scalability, maintainability, and business value.
• Apply modern AI tooling, including LLM application patterns, orchestration frameworks, automation platforms, evaluation approaches, and model limitations.
• Balance rapid experimentation with strong engineering discipline, especially in enterprise and regulated environments.

Reusable Assets, Methodology & Scaling

• Own the AI delivery methodology for your assigned sector vertical.
• Build and maintain reusable patterns, playbooks, and working practices that help NCS scale AI-native delivery across sectors and geographies.
• Document and abstract solutions from Singapore lighthouse accounts so they can be adapted for regional deployment.

Team Enablement & Capability Building

• Support the technical onboarding and capability development of engineers joining your team.
• Share what works across AI Central and contribute to the broader adoption of AI-native delivery practices within NCS.
• Stay current with emerging AI tools, methods, and frameworks, applying them where they create measurable advantage.

The ideal candidate should possess:

• Strong hands-on engineering ability in Python, JavaScript, or similar languages, with experience building and integrating production-grade applications.
• Demonstrated1-3 years of experiencedelivering AI, machine learning, or generative AI solutions in real-world settings.
• Strong understanding of modern AI tooling, including LLM application patterns, orchestration frameworks, automation platforms, evaluation approaches, and model limitations.
• Ability to work independently, navigate ambiguity, and deliver outcomes at pace.
• Strong product instinct, engineering depth, business acumen, critical thinking, and technical judgement.
• Ability to balance experimentation with security, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to translate business needs into technical execution and advise at executive level.
• Comfort working with senior stakeholders and challenging assumptions constructively.
• Fluency in using AI as a practical multiplier across design, code, research, documentation, and delivery.
• A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent practical experience is also valued.

Good to have

• Experience in consulting, venture building, startup environments, or innovation teams.
• Experience deploying AI solutions in enterprise or regulated environments such as aviation, land transport, public safety, telecommunications, or government.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, APIs, CI/CD, analytics, and observability.
• Experience shaping early-stage products with users and iterating based on feedback.
• Regional exposure, including experience designing or adapting solutions across multiple Asia Pacific markets.
