Job summary

Coherent in Singapore invites a student or recent graduate to contribute to AI model design and implementation for vision inspection and anomaly detection. You will write and test code in Python, C++, and C#, and help train ML models for image processing.

Collaboration to optimize algorithms and production integration is expected, along with data preprocessing and reporting on system performance.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS/DS/Engineering/IT or related fields.
• Strong programming skills in Python (primary), C++, and C#.
• Fundamental ML concepts with exposure to computer vision techniques.

Job description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist in designing and implementing AI models for vision inspection and anomaly detection tasks.




• Write, test, and maintain code in C++, C#, Python, and other relevant languages.




• Develop and implement machine learning algorithms.




• Assist in training and fine-tuning machine learning models for image processing, anomaly detection, forecasting and other machine learning algorithms.




• Collaborate with the team to optimize algorithms and integrate AI solutions into production environments.




• Conduct data preprocessing, augmentation, and analysis to improve model performance.




• Support the development of documentation and technical reports on findings and system performance.

Education & Experience

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related fields.

Skills

• Strong proficiency in programming languages: Python (primary), C++, C#,




• Basic understanding of machine learning concepts (e.g., supervised/unsupervised learning, deep learning).




• Familiarity with computer vision techniques (e.g., object detection, segmentation, classification)




• Experience with machine learning libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Yolo or Scikit-learn.




• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.




• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.




• Eagerness to learn and take initiative in AI/ML projects.

Working Conditions:

Monday to Friday, 9.00 am to 6.30 pm (100% on-site)
