Job summary

cynapse.ai seeks a detail-oriented AI Evaluation & Quality Intern to support development and evaluation of frontier AI models, including Vision-Language Models (VLMs) and Agentic AI systems.

You will perform human-in-the-loop testing, curate datasets, identify errors, and use in-house tools to benchmark AI systems, gaining hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies in Singapore.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma (completed or in progress) in any discipline.
• Interest in AI and how modern models behave. Familiarity with LLMs, VLMs, or agentic AI is a plus, not a requirement.
• Exceptional attention to detail and consistency, including comfort with repetitive, structured tasks.
• Clear written communication: able to describe precisely what went wrong and why it matters.
• No programming experience required.

Responsibilities

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and curious AI Evaluation & Quality Intern to support the development and evaluation of our frontier AI models, including Vision-Language Models (VLMs)and Agentic AI systems.

As part of your role, you will:

• Perform human-in-the-loop testing and QA to assess model quality and identify failure cases.
• Curate and refine training and evaluation datasets through selection, correction, and annotation.

Internship Intake Periods:

We are currently seeking interns for:

• September 2026 – December 2026 (Immediate Start)
• January 2027 – April 2027

What We’re Looking For:

Duration:

• Available for at least a 3-month internship; candidates who can commit to a 6-month internship are also encouraged to apply.
• Able to work at least 4 days a week (Preferably full-time / 5 days a week).
• We are flexible with start and end dates and allow flexibility to accommodate exams, leave etc.
