Job summary

SAP SE in Singapore seeks an AI Engineer intern to join the CPIT CFA team. You will help infuse SAP products with AI, building scalable production APIs on the SAP Business Technology Platform and using SAP AI SaaS tools.

You will gain hands-on experience with ML engineering, SDLC practices, and collaboration within a global IT delivery unit. The internship begins January 2027 for at least six months and is a full-time role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science or a related field.
• Passionate about coding and programming, innovation, and solving challenging problems.
• Must have good hands-on on Python, Java or JavaScript, React.js.
• Proficient in understanding and staying current with AI industry trends.
• Familiarity with emerging interoperability protocols such as MCP (Model Context Protocol) or A2A (Agent-to-Agent).
• Hands-on knowledge of Prompt Engineering, Data Pipelines and coding standards for LLM App development.
• Exposure to at least one agent orchestration framework such as LangGraph, LangChain, or equivalent is a plus.
• Good written and oral communication skills in English.
• Able to solve/explore problems independently, good teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and build AI agents that autonomously plan, reason, and execute multi-step tasks using Large Language Models, tool-use frameworks, and SAP Business AI capabilities.
• Validate AI agent use cases through proof-of-concepts, measuring task completion accuracy, latency, cost, and safety guardrails before production readiness.
• Assist with technology exploration for new AI and technology trends in-line with SAP’s overall Strategy direction.
• Learn and apply Software Development Life Cycle methodologies like Agile. Participate in development life cycle activities like design, coding, testing and production release.
• Part of global team and IT delivery Unit.
