Job summary

SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC SINGAPORE PTE LTD is seeking an AI Engineer to drive innovation in energy efficiency and operational optimization for buildings and power systems. You will develop AI/ML models and deploy control logic on EcoStruxure Building and EcoStruxure Power platforms, leading a small team of junior engineers.

The role combines strong engineering fundamentals with automation expertise, cross-functional collaboration, and a focus on compliant, ethical AI practices across projects.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in AI/ML development, preferably in building automation, energy systems, or smart infrastructure.
• Proficient in Python or similar programming languages for AI/ML development.
• Familiarity with building systems (HVAC, lighting, access control), BMS/EMS platforms, and IoT protocols.

Responsibilities

• Algorithm Development: Design and implement AI/ML models to optimise energy consumption and operational performance in building and power systems.
• Control Logic Deployment: Integrate and deploy control strategies on EcoStruxure platforms for real-time performance improvement.
• System Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of AI solutions with existing building and power management systems.
• Team Leadership: Guide and mentor a small group of junior engineers, ensuring project milestones and quality standards are met.
• Performance Analysis: Monitor and evaluate system performance, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with internal teams, clients, and partners to understand requirements, present solutions, and ensure successful implementation.
• Compliance & Ethics: Ensure AI solutions follow data privacy regulations, cybersecurity standards, and ethical AI practices.

• 2 years of experience in AI/ML development, preferably in building automation, energy systems, or smart infrastructure.
• Proficient in Python or similar programming languages for AI/ML development.
• Familiarity with building systems (HVAC, lighting, access control), BMS/EMS platforms, and IoT protocols.
• Experience with Docker or Kurbenetes deployment platform and edge computing.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience with EcoStruxure Building and Power platforms is a strong advantage.
