Job summary

IG Group in Singapore is seeking an AI Enabler (Engineer) to accelerate the APAC Data & Analytics function. You will build internal tools, connect systems, and ship AI-powered copilots to reduce manual work across teams.

You’ll work with data scientists, data engineers and stakeholders in Marketing, Commercial and Finance, delivering production-grade tools on GCP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
• 3–5 years’ experience as a full stack engineer or similar hands-on build role.
• Strong working experience with Python and modern web stacks.
• Experience building front-end apps with Next.js and back-end with Node.js or FastAPI.
• Hands-on experience with GCP and AI tooling such as Claude Code.
• Familiar with version control using GitHub or GitLab.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship full-stack internal tools automating workflows across APAC.
• Create AI-powered agents and copilots to solve operational problems.
• Integrate existing tools via APIs to streamline data flows and reduce duplication.
• Collaborate with data scientists and engineers across multiple markets.
• Translate stakeholder needs in Marketing, Commercial, and Finance into working tools.
• Deliver end-to-end from prototyping to deployment and support on GCP.
• Coordinate with central Engineering and IT for architecture and security alignment.

About the Role

This role exists to make IG’s APAC Data & Analytics function faster and sharper by putting AI directly into the hands of the teams who need it. You’ll build custom internal tools, connect existing systems, and ship AI-powered agents and copilots that remove manual work and unlock new ways of working across the division.

About the Team

You’ll sit within the APAC Data & Analytics division, which supports Singapore, Australia, Japan, and Emerging Markets across commercial, marketing, and finance functions. The team combines data science, data engineering, and analytics expertise to drive decision-making across the region.

This is an individual contributor role reporting to the Head of Data and Analytics, APAC, working day-to-day with data scientists and data engineers, as well as stakeholders across Marketing, Commercial, and Finance, and partnering with central Engineering and IT teams on architecture, security, and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship full-stack internal tools that automate manual and repetitive workflows across the APAC data & analytics function.
• Build AI-powered agents and copilots from scratch, using tools such as Claude Code, to solve real operational problems for the team.
• Connect and integrate existing tools and systems via APIs to streamline data flows and reduce duplicated effort.
• Partner with data scientists and data engineers across Singapore, Australia, Japan, and Emerging Markets to identify and prioritise automation opportunities.
• Work closely with Marketing, Commercial, and Finance stakeholders to understand pain points and translate them into working tools.
• Own delivery end-to-end: from prototyping through to deployment and support of production tools on GCP.
• Partner with central Engineering and IT teams to ensure tools align with group architecture, security, and coding standards.

Role Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3–5 years’ experience as a full stack engineer or in a similar hands-on build role.
• Strong working experience with Python.
• Experience building front-end applications with NextJS.
• Experience with NodeJS or FastAPI for back-end development.
• Hands-on experience with GCP.
• Practical experience using Claude Code or similar AI coding assistants to build and ship tools.
• Experience working with GitLab or GitHub for version control and collaborative development.

Desirable

• Experience with LLM and agent frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or MCP.
• Experience building internal developer tools, automation platforms, or similar.
• Exposure to financial services or a similarly regulated industry.
• Familiarity with data warehousing and analytics tooling such as Snowflake or BigQuery.
