Job summary

PwC Singapore is seeking a Senior Associate in Assurance to drive AI-enabled audit initiatives and automate complex processes within financial services.

You will work with cross-functional teams to design and deploy ML models, build data pipelines, and mentor junior staff while ensuring regulatory and firm policy compliance.

This role emphasizes collaboration with auditors, risk professionals, and stakeholders, delivering high-quality client outcomes in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience developing and deploying AI, machine learning, data analytics, generative AI, or automation solutions, preferably in financial services, risk assurance, audit, or compliance contexts.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, or similar, with experience in production‑level software development and data engineering.

Responsibilities

• Analyze audit workflows to identify and prioritize opportunities for automation, AI enablement, and process improvement.
• Lead collaboration efforts with auditors, risk assurance professionals, and business stakeholders to translate audit requirements into scalable AI and automation solutions.
• Design, develop, test, and validate AI/ML models, leveraging classical machine learning, NLP, and generative AI techniques to address audit challenges.
• Architect and build AI-enabled tools, including intelligent assistants, workflow automations, and knowledge retrieval systems that enhance audit execution.
• Drive prototyping, deployment, and ongoing monitoring of AI solutions from concept through production, ensuring scalability, robustness, and compliance.
• Develop and maintain data preparation processes, integration workflows, and scalable data pipelines across audit, finance, risk, and enterprise systems.
• Work independently with diverse data types—including structured financial data, unstructured documents such as audit workpapers and policies—to create reliable data products for AI use cases.
• Prepare comprehensive documentation, training materials, and lead knowledge transfer sessions to facilitate adoption of AI and automation tools by audit teams.
• Stay current with emerging AI, automation, cloud, and audit technology trends; evaluate their applicability and drive continuous innovation within the audit transformation program.
• Ensure all AI solutions comply with firm policies, regulatory requirements, data privacy standards, and responsible AI principles.
• Mentor junior team members, provide technical guidance, and contribute to building a collaborative and motivated team culture.

Key Responsibilities

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience developing and deploying AI, machine learning, data analytics, generative AI, or automation solutions, preferably in financial services, risk assurance, audit, or compliance contexts.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, or similar, with experience in production-level software development and data engineering.
• Solid understanding of audit processes, internal controls, risk assessment, financial reporting, or regulatory compliance is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), workflow automation tools (Power Platform, UiPath, Automation Anywhere), generative AI platforms, and data visualization tools.
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement scalable data pipelines, ETL workflows, and APIs integrating multiple data sources.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot complex technical challenges.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders and explain technical concepts clearly.
• Self-motivated, curious, eager to learn, and interested in how AI and automation can transform audit and assurance processes.
