Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related engineering field.
• 5+ years building and shipping production software.
• Hands-on experience with agentic or LLM systems in production.
• Experience spanning multiple model providers behind one abstraction.
• Experience building retrieval systems: embeddings, chunking, hybrid search, reranking, vector databases.
• Experience with LLM evaluation, guardrails, and observability.

Responsibilities

• Design and build the provider abstraction for multiple model providers with structured-output validation.
• Create an agent orchestration layer with planning and sub-agents in parallel.
• Implement human-in-the-loop checkpoints for high-stakes steps.
• Wrap platform capabilities as typed, registered tools with clear boundaries.
• Design end-to-end retrieval, embeddings, chunking, and hybrid search.
• Develop the prompt layer with versioning, few-shot sets, and traceable reasoning.
• Expose guarded model access via a single integration point used by services, UI, and notebooks.
• Instrument every call and invocation for tracing, cost, and debuggability.
• Build an evaluation framework with deterministic tracing and LLM-as-judge scoring.
