United Overseas Bank Ltd is seeking a GC-AFC Assurance GRIT Trainee to sit onsite in the Central Region. The role focuses on supporting technology-enabled assurance testing for AML and Sanctions risks and helping design robust testing approaches.

You will assist in data analytics, dashboard development, and governance reporting while exploring automation and AI-enabled capabilities to enhance monitoring and remediation efforts.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and execution of technology-enabled assurance testing programmes and reviews over AML and Sanctions risks.
• Assist in designing continuous assurance testing approaches, including risk indicators, control attributes, data points, testing logic and exception criteria.
• Support the refresh and maintenance of the AFC Assurance data analytics book of work to cover key AML and Sanctions risk areas.
• Perform data-driven assurance testing to identify risk signals, control gaps, process weaknesses, exceptions and emerging AFC risk trends.
• Assist in developing and enhancing assurance dashboards to monitor AFC risks, testing outcomes and remediation progress.
• Explore and support the use of technology, automation, bots and AI-enabled capabilities to enhance assurance monitoring, testing and reporting.
• Prepare and support management reporting materials, including decks, dashboards and insights for senior management or governance forums.
• Support assurance review activities, including scoping, data gathering, testing, observations documentation, root-cause analysis and remediation follow-up.
• Collaborate with AFC Assurance team and relevant stakeholders to obtain data, validate observations and support timely deliverables.
