Job summary

A leading aerospace services company in Singapore is seeking experienced mechanics to repair aero engine components following established guidelines. Candidates should possess at least 3 years of relevant experience and a diploma or higher in Mechanical or Aviation Engineering. The position requires interpretation of engineering drawings and a willingness to work in shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in aero engine components/parts hand fitter/mechanic experience.
• Good command of written English and engineering analytical skill.
• Willing to take day and night roster shifts.

Responsibilities

• Complete repair schemes per Rolls-Royce Engine Manuals requirements.
• Operate special tools for shank nuts replacement on aero engine components.
• Perform precision inspections using pneumatic tools.

Job description

Job Responsibilities

• Ability to complete the repair scheme in accordance with the requirements & instructions of Rolls‑Royce Engine Manuals (e.g. SPM - Standard Practices Manual, SB – Service Bulletin) & TV (Technical Variance)
• Operation of special tools for the replacement of shank nuts on aero engine components
• Operation of specific tooling for installation, inspection & torque check during the replacement of wire‑thread inserts on aero engine components
• Operation of precision jig and fixtures for the replacement of engine spares (studs, pins, pads, washers, liners, bushings etc.) on aero engine components
• Operation of pneumatic tools (die grinders & air drills etc.) for repair and precision inspection instrument for quality control in minor damage repair on aero engine components
• Understand and strict adherence to Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS)
• Health & Safety practices (e.g. Personnel Protection Equipment, Chemical storage, Hand Tools storage)
