Job summary

A leading engineering services company in Singapore is seeking a skilled welder to operate the Dabber Welding System for aero engine components. The ideal candidate will have over 3 years of experience, a diploma in Mechanical Engineering, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings. Strong analytical skills and a good command of written English are essential. This position requires willingness for day and night shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years relevant working experience in operation of Dabber Welding System.
• Able to interpret engineering drawings.
• Willing to take day and night roster shifts.

Responsibilities

• Conduct automatic circumferential welding on aero engine components.
• Prepare properly before welding.
• Set up and maintain High Precision 3-5 axes Dabber Welding System.
• Inspect welded areas according to Repair Scheme requirements.
• Troubleshoot welding issues.
• Adhere to Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS).

Roles & Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities

• Ability to conduct automatic circumferential welding build up worn or damaged areas on the aero engine components in according with the requirements & instructions of Rolls‑Royce Engine Manuals
• Proper preparation prior to welding
• Setting up, operating, and conducting routine machine maintenance of High Precision 3‑5 axes Dabber Welding System
• Performing inspections of welded area according to the Repair Scheme requirements
• Troubleshooting any issues that arise
• Understand and strict adherence to Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS)
• Health & Safety practices (E.g. Personnel Protection Equipment, Fixture & Tooling storage)

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years relevant working experience in operation of Dabber Welding System
• Diploma or above in Mechanical Engineering, Aviation Engineering or related disciplines
• Able to interpret engineering drawings
• Good command of written English and engineering analytical skill
• Willing to take day and night roster shifts
