Job summary

A leading aviation services company in Singapore is seeking an experienced CMM Operator to program and operate coordinate measuring machines for aero engine components. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of relevant experience in the aviation industry, along with a diploma in Mechanical or Aviation Engineering. This role involves troubleshooting, maintenance, and compliance with quality standards. Candidates must be willing to work day and night roster shifts.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the programming, set-up, and operation of coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) to ensure accurate measurement of aero engine components in accordance with the requirements & instructions of Rolls-Royce Engine Manuals
  • Apply advanced logic and methodologies in the development and optimization of CMM programs (Modus is preferable)
  • Effectively identify, analyze, and resolve programming-related issues that arise
  • Perform routine maintenance and calibration checks on CMM as required
  • Complete inspection documentation and report discrepancies to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations and quality standards
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and maintain a clean, tidy and organized workspace
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years relevant working experience in aviation industry
  • Minimum 2 years experience working as a CMM operator
  • Expertise in CMM programming and use of relevant software applications
  • Diploma or above in Mechanical Engineering, Aviation Engineering or related disciplines
  • Demonstrate proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, including comprehensive understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) symbols
  • Good understanding of CMM technical specifications
  • Good command of written English and engineering analytical skill
  • Ability to troubleshoot and provide solutions to problems
  • Willing to take day and night roster shifts
