About AITE

AITE Education is a language and academic training centre serving international students in Singapore.
We specialise in preparation for the AEIS / S-AEIS examinations, Cambridge English Qualifications (KET / PET), and Primary English (P1–P6).

We believe teaching is not formula-based drilling, but a structured development of language ability + cognitive skills + learning habits.

Position Title

English Teacher (AEIS / Primary / KET / PET)

Job Responsibilities

You will teach English lessons for students aged 7–14, including:

  • AEIS English: Vocabulary, Grammar, Cloze, Comprehension

  • KET / PET: Vocabulary (A2–B1), Reading, Writing, Listening

  • Primary English: P3–P6 curriculum

  • Design lesson objectives and teaching plans based on student proficiency

  • Provide personalised learning feedback and periodic assessments

  • Develop or improve worksheets, reading passages, and writing materials

  • Participate in curriculum development and internal teaching workshops

  • Communicate appropriately with parents (progress updates / learning advice)

  • Maintain classroom discipline and ensure high student engagement

  • Support trial lessons, open classes, workshops, and holiday programmes

Requirements
Academic / Professional Background (At least ONE of the following):
  • Degree or qualification in TESOL, Linguistics, English Language, Education

  • Experience teaching Cambridge English / ESOL

  • Experience teaching AEIS / IELTS / KET / PET or Singapore Primary English

  • ESL/ELD experience in international schools is an advantage

Language Skills
  • English: Clear and fluent, CEFR C1 or equivalent

  • Mandarin: Able to communicate fluently with Chinese-speaking parents
    (Required due to parent profile; clarity and accuracy are important)

Teaching Skills
  • Ability to design structured lessons and explain vocabulary, grammar, reading, and writing

  • Able to enhance students’ reading comprehension and writing ability

  • Capable of differentiated instruction for mixed-ability learners

  • Teaching style should be engaging, patient, and well-organised

  • Must have overall examination awareness and follow structured teaching plans

Attitude & Personality
  • Enjoys interacting with children

  • Stable, reliable, and able to commit long-term

  • Open to learning and participating in teaching development

  • Responsible, diligent, and not performative or careless

Salary & Benefits
Part-time: SGD $15–$20 / hour (depending on experience)
Full-time: SGD $2,500–$4,500 + KPI incentives
